About Title One

Title I School Support

All elementary and middle schools within the David Douglas School District operate as schoolwide Title I schools. We use federal Title I funds to strengthen our instructional programs and support student learning across the district.

By using the schoolwide model, we provide a comprehensive system of support for every student. Our staff members analyze assessment results and classroom data to identify students who need extra help in reading or math. Once identified, these students receive targeted assistance to ensure their success.

Opportunities for Families

Beyond classroom support, we value the input of our community. All elementary and middle schools offer parents and guardians opportunities to review and influence the following:

  • School Improvement Plans
  • District and school policies
  • School-Parent-Student compacts

Our Commitment to Communication

To keep families informed, our Title I program focuses on several key components. We commit to:

  • Quality Instruction: We provide rigorous, effective instruction in all subjects through highly qualified teachers and staff.

  • Timely Assistance: We implement district-wide systems to ensure students who struggle receive effective and immediate help.
  • Continuous Review: We regularly review and revise our school plans to meet the changing needs of our students.
