Weekend Help – Get food and support for your family over the weekend.
Cherry Park Community Assistance is a community initiative dedicated to supporting students and families at Cherry Park by providing essential resources that help children stay healthy, confident, and ready to learn. The program focuses on meeting basic needs such as food, clothing, and hygiene so that every child can thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Their mission is based on the belief that every child deserves nutritious meals and the dignity of clean clothes. To support this goal, they run three main programs:
- Weekend Food Bags & School Food Pantry – Provides students with nutritious meals and snacks for weekends, along with a school food pantry available on Mondays to help ensure no child goes hungry.
- Clothing Closet – Supplies clean, comfortable, and season-appropriate clothing so students can feel confident at school.
- Hygiene Kits – Distributes personal care items such as soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and toothbrushes to support students’ health and dignity.
Families can confidentially request support through a form that asks basic information about the child and the type of help needed. Community members are encouraged to donate or volunteer to help sustain the programs and ensure local children and families receive the care and support they need.
