PBIS Incentives at Cherry Park
Student of the Month
Teachers will nominate two students from their class each month who are demonstrating that month’s life skill.
Students will receive a certificate at the monthly Spirit Assembly. Individual photos of students will be displayed in the hallway for the following month.
Each staff member in the school will have Charger Coins. These are to be used for recognizing entire classes demonstrating the three (3) Cherry Park expectations. Students will put their cards in the basket or box in their classroom. Each
week, two cards will be drawn and taken down to the office baskets, to be included in the weekly PBS drawing. Teachers may also choose to draw two more cards for rewards within their classroom.
Each staff member in the school will have Charger Coins. These are to be used for recognizing entire classes demonstrating the three (3) Cherry Park expectations. Each class will select a goal to reach in collecting coins in their bucket. When
the goal has been reached, it is up to the teacher and class to decide on a reward. Classes reaching their goals will be announced during the Monday PBIS announcements. The class coins should then be taken to the office and put into the school’s jar. When the school jar is filled to the goal, the entire school will receive a reward.
Each month, a K-2 and a 3-5 award will be given to the classes who have the highest percentage of attendance. They will each receive a banner to display by their classroom door. The class name and their attendance percentage will be displayed on the bulletin board in the front hallway.
Each month the PBIS team meets to review attendance. Protocol is followed
to increase attendance for chronic students.
